Things to Do
The Choco Andino Cloudforest is one of the most biodiverse places on earth. Our regenerating native forests and lovingly tended gardens are a haven for an incredible abundance of flora and fauna. Turquoise and golden lizards flash through the undergrowth while eagles and falcons soar the sky. The dense layers of vegetation and abundant rainfall create clean oxygen rich air that is a pleasure to breathe. Simply walk around and observe at your leisure, or enhance your experience even more with one of these thoughtful tours or exciting excursions.
Cacao Farm Tour & Tasting
Join Kristen, farm director and original co founder, for a guided walk through our cacao agroforestry farm. Through personal stories of our own hard won experience on the land, learn how we regenerated a deforested cattle pasture into an abundant ecosystem producing ancestral Nacional cacao. Complete the journey with a tasting of our exquisite hand crafted dark chocolate at our onsite farm to bar workshop!
Cascade Plunge Excursion
Our region is home to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Ecuador. Venture to the wild waters of the Salto de Tigre, tucked away off a remote gravel road, or the more visited Cascada de Amor where you can have a tasty traditional grilled fish lunch after your plunge. 0ur dependable driver will personally transport you to and from the location of your choosing.
Cacao Ceremony, Massage, or Personalized Yoga Class
Whether you are seeking a deeper connection to cacao as a plant medicine, release some travel aches and pains, relax with breathwork, or find your alignment in triangle pose, we have teachers with years of experience onsite to guide you. We can faciliate sessions for individuals or small groups up to 8 people.

What to Bring
We’ve beat back a lot of bush to make things more comfortable. Fortunately, we are located at an altitude too high for yellow fever and dengue. However, this is the forest, and there are bugs. Bugs that bite. Pack light and comfortable clothing that covers your arms and legs while outdoors — you will enjoy nature more, not be irritated by it. We’ve put together some easy guidelines to help you enjoy your stay. Temperatures here are comfortable, never too hot or cold, but subtropical, equatorial sun is no joke.
