Salto de Tigre Cascade and Natural Lagoon
Take a dip in the invigorating waters of the natural lagoon flowing into the Salto de Tigre cascade, the largest waterfall in northwest Ecuador. Complete with a smooth stone beach and swinging vines for unleashing your inner Tarzan, Salto de Tigre is a favorite tranquil afternoon getaway for many Sueño de Vida visitors.

Cascade Verde Forest Hike and Waterfalls
Hike through protected forests lush with towering tropical plants & exotic flowers and take a dip in the natural emerald pool at Cascade Verde. This 30-minute hike ends with a special treat: jugo de caña (sugarcane juice) squeezed fresh in hundred-year-old crank wheels.

Tour of the Mashpi Artisanal Chocolate Plantation and SER Trail
The premier tour experience for all Sueño de Vida guests, this full-day excursion is not to be missed.
You’ll meet the owners of the Mashpi Cacao Plantation, learn the history of the Mashpi conservation area, and enjoy chocolate samples while touring their their farm-to-bar chocolate making facility.
Afterwards, you’ll meet with a local biologist from the nearby Chontaloma Reserve who will lead you down the SER trail, the sendero ecológico de restauración that links homes and farms of various conservation and regeneration projects, and enjoy a delicious farm-fresh lunch.
